An event requiring 8 to 9 hours, 1 round of golf from Tokyo

I sometimes receive inquiries about golf from guests staying at the hotel in Tokyo.

This may be because they want to enjoy golfing in an easy way.

As you know, there are few golf courses in Tokyo, and you have to go to the suburbs to enjoy them.

I recommend golf courses near Narita Airport.

It takes about one hour from Tokyo by car.

The drive time is about 1 hour one way and 2 hours round trip.

We do not usually take traffic congestion into account, but there is always traffic congestion.

Time spent for a half round of 9 holes is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes

Time spent digesting one round of golf is approximately 5 hours.

This is also the case for uncrowded golf courses, especially when there is little or no waiting time for short holes.

After the half, there is a lunch break time of about 1 hour, and

In total, this means an 8-hour long event.

Normally, you should arrive at the golf course about 45 minutes before tee times, so strictly speaking, you would need about an additional hour, or 9 hours!

Of course, there may be cases where play will be completed in less time than this.

The usual start time for golfer inquiries is generally 9:00 a.m.

My recommended tee time is 8:00 am.

For example, with 8:30 a.m. tee times, arrival at the golf course is around 7:30 a.m. and departure from the hotel in Tokyo is around 6:30 a.m.

Although the hotel departs earlier during these times, it is possible to make a round-trip from Tokyo at a time when there is almost no traffic congestion.

If your return time is after 4:00 p.m., you will be stuck in heavy traffic in Tokyo, making it a tiresome day of driving and certainly halving your golfing enjoyment.

To really enjoy a round of golf, I recommend staying at a hotel in Narita for about two nights and planning three rounds of golf, which is especially recommended.
